Really frustrated with how my favorite show's later seasons wrecked all the character growth

Watched seasons 1-3 of The Good Place and felt like every character had learned and grown so much, but by season 4 it felt like they just reset everyone back to their selfish ways and I just binged the whole thing in 2 weeks and now I'm mad about the wasted potential.

Oh man, I totally get your frustration! I had the same exact feeling with that show. By season 4 it was like nobody remembered anything they learned, and it just made me angry after watching all those good moments in the early seasons. The writers really dropped the ball on keeping their growth consistent. Felt like a total waste of good character work.

@veramartin yeah my friend bailed on season 5 because she said it felt like watching her ex make the same mistakes over and over.
