Hit 150 blades in my collection and it changed how I shop
I crossed 150 custom pocket knives last weekend and for the first time I started asking myself why I keep buying. Each one has a story but honestly some just sit in a case. Do you guys aim for a specific number or just stop caring about quantity after a while?

Yeah hit 180 last month and honestly my wife now measures my life in "pre-knife era" and "post-knife era" (she's not wrong). The funny thing is I still buy blades I don't even need, like I picked up a tanto folder last week that I'll probably never carry but the detent was just too perfect to pass up. It's basically a very expensive fidget habit at this point, you know? But hey, at least my pocket feels important every morning while I rotate through the same 10 favorites.

Measured my life in pre-knife era and post-knife era" - okay that is legitimately the funniest thing I've heard all week. I bet she's got a point though. My wife started calling my knife drawer "the evidence" after I came home with a Benchmade I swore I'd sell and never did.
That tanto folder with the perfect detent... I feel that in my bones. I bought a small fixed blade last month just because the kydex sheath made this perfect click sound when you reholster it. Haven't carried it once. Just sits on my desk for auditory fidgeting. It's a sickness.

Oh come on, you're overthinking it. I've got about 200 now and I stopped worrying about the number years ago. Half of them sit in a drawer but I still grab a different one every morning just to feel the action or look at the grind. It's a hobby, not a spreadsheet.
