Warning: I dropped $80 on a board game insert that was more trouble than it's worth

I got the fancy wooden insert for my copy of Gloomhaven, thinking it would save me setup time. In my experience, the pieces didn't fit right and the instructions were a mess. I spent over three hours just trying to get it together, and now the box won't even close all the way. Has anyone else had a bad time with a specific organizer brand?

@anna_singh's friend was right, those things are a total scam.

Oh man, which brand was it? I had the exact same disaster with a wooden insert for Terraforming Mars. The pieces were cut so badly they just would not slot together, and the glue they included was useless. I ended up with splinters and a box that bulges like it ate too much. Felt like I paid to do a terrible part-time job.

Heard the same thing about those wooden inserts from a friend.
