That moment I realized book club was ruining my reading habit
I used to dread finishing a book because I knew I'd have to write a whole analysis for our weekly meetings. After 6 months of this, I realized I was skimming chapters instead of actually reading, so I quit the group and now I finish 2 books a month just for fun. Has anyone else found that structured discussion killed your love of reading?

That whole "skimming instead of actually reading" part hit me hard. Did you ever try to fix the group or suggest a more relaxed format before you left, or was it already a lost cause?
