The library lady who told me to stop dog-earing pages
I was at the downtown branch in Nashville last Tuesday and this older volunteer saw me folding a page in a hardback. She pulled a pack of those little sticky flags out of her apron and said 'honey, you're wrecking the spine, use these instead.' Has anyone else had a book club member call them out on a bad habit?

Nashville library sounds intense. That apron with the sticky flags is next level. I dog-ear everything - receipts, magazines, library books. Old habits. She probably has a separate apron for shushing people too.

Is it really that bad for the spine though? Those sticky flags leave residue and the library has to peel them off anyway.
