$400 a month is insane. I did the same thing with a $100 a month CrossFit membership back in 2023. What worked for me was setting a hard rule: if I don't go at least twice in the first week, I cancel it right then. No waiting, no "maybe next month" excuses. Now I just do a cheap $15 planet fitness basic plan and only upgrade if I actually use it for three months straight. That's real talk.
