TIL a lot of people forget to budget for their annual car registration
My coworker was scrambling for cash last month because his $85 renewal hit, and he hadn't set anything aside. I just put a monthly $7 reminder in my budget app, so it's never a surprise. Anyone else have a small, yearly bill they almost forgot to plan for?

Funny how the little things get you. For years I treated my car registration like a random surprise bill that would just show up and wreck my budget for a week. Then my wife showed me her spreadsheet where she breaks every annual cost down by month. Stuff like the $60 for the Amazon Prime membership or the $140 for our trash service. She puts that little bit in a separate savings bucket each month. It seemed like overkill at first, but man, it makes those payments painless. Totally changed how I handle all my irregular bills now.

Yeah that's the move right there. Sinking funds save so much stress.
