Spotted a $3 marker hack at a coffee shop downtown
I was at a local coffee shop in Portland last weekend and noticed someone using a washi tape strip as a bookmark in their bullet journal. They had a little key on the tape for tracking moods... it was so simple. Ive been trying to figure out a way to mark my weekly spreads faster without flipping pages. That little trick gave me an idea for my own collection page on mood tracking. Has anyone else picked up a bujo tip from just watching people in public?

Holding back here but honestly I gotta push back a little. Washi tape as a mood tracker bookmark sounds cute but it seems like overthinking a simple thing. Flipping pages is part of using a journal, you know? Like the whole point is to slow down and actually interact with your spread, not hack your way through it. Sticking a tape strip in just adds another thing to lose or forget to update. Plus mood tracking with a tiny key on tape probably gives you like five mood options max. Real moods are messy and change every hour, not something a three dollar roll of tape can really capture. Maybe the coffee shop person was just making a pretty bookmark and not trying to reinvent bujo at all.

Grabbed a washi tape sample once and @elizabethf85 is right it slid right off onto my sleeve.
