Why does nobody talk about the glue fumes in small bathrooms?
I was doing a condo in Seattle and the owner's kid asked if the carpet 'smelled like new shoes'. It hit me how used to that chemical smell we get. What do you guys do for air flow in those tiny, windowless powder rooms?

Man, that's so true. Did a small bathroom reno last year and the smell just hung in the air for days. Felt like I was breathing straight from the can. Ended up running a box fan in the hallway 24/7, pointing right at the door. It helped a little, but you're right, you just get used to it.

That condo job in Seattle actually made me change my whole setup. I stopped using those big box fans because they just move the bad air around. I bought a small HEPA air scrubber for about three hundred bucks, and it pulls the fumes right out of the room. You can rent them too, but it's the only thing that actually clears the smell instead of just spreading it through the house.

@anthony_sullivan7 you probably smelled like paint thinner for a week straight, huh?

Dude that Seattle job sounds rough. I remember doing a full kitchen repaint a few years back and the smell was so bad my eyes were watering the whole time. I tried everything too just opening windows and running fans but it never really helped. Ended up sleeping on my couch for three nights because my bedroom still stank like chemicals. It's crazy how long that stuff hangs around even after you think you've aired it out. I feel for you man that's a rough week.
