Saw something at the Denver library that made me rethink how we teach coding
I was at the main branch downtown yesterday and walked by their computer lab. They had a full class of maybe 15 people, all adults, working through a Python lesson. The thing that got me was the instructor had them all coding on paper first, writing out simple loops and print statements by hand before they ever touched a keyboard. He said it forces you to slow down and really understand the logic. Has anyone else tried learning or teaching this way? I'm curious if it actually helps or just feels like extra work.

Park.wyatt has a point, that just sounds like extra busywork to me lol.

Nah that sounds like a total waste of time lol. The whole point is to get the instant feedback from running the code, not to do extra homework.
