Bought a $60 hand grinder and ended up with coffee that tastes like dirt and regret
Spent a whole Saturday dialing in the grind setting for my Aeropress but every cup came out bitter and muddy, so I guess you really can't cheap out on the burrs in a budget grinder, has anyone else hit a wall with entry level gear?

honestly sounds like user error more than the grinder. i've pulled great shots with a $40 hand grinder before, it just takes some patience and technique. maybe try different water temps or a coarser grind. i had a cheap one for a whole year and got decent results once i figured out the right combo.
