My old grinder finally gave up the ghost this morning

It was a basic blade grinder I bought back in 2015, and it just made a sad humming noise and stopped. I've been using it every single day for almost nine years. I had to run to the corner store for pre-ground stuff, which just isn't the same. It got me thinking about how my whole coffee routine has changed since then, from just making a pot to weighing beans and timing my pour. Has anyone had a grinder last longer than that, or is that a pretty good run?

Wait, you got almost a decade out of a blade grinder? That's wild, mine always died after a couple years. Sounds like you got a legendary one, time for an upgrade though lol.

Totally see that with so many things now! Feels like stuff is built to break just after the warranty ends. My old toaster lasted forever, but the new one died in a year.
