Huh, I actually see it a bit differently. @casey145 I get that some jobs feel like just showing up, but that teacher might be trying to teach kids that effort and consistency matter just as much as the final result. Isn't part of learning about building habits that stick?

My own job is mostly just warm chair time, so I get it.

Remember my old office job where they tracked bathroom breaks. Felt like being graded on just showing up, not what you actually got done. Makes you wonder what we're really teaching kids about work.
