Changed my mind about using a standard drill for wall anchors after a job in a 1950s brick house
I always used my regular cordless drill with a masonry bit for anchors, figuring it was fine. Then I had to put up a line for a customer in an old brick home, and after breaking three bits and taking over 20 minutes for four holes, I was ready to lose it. The homeowner, an old contractor, lent me his rotary hammer drill he had in the garage. I finished the next six holes in maybe two minutes total, clean and perfect. The difference in vibration and power was just night and day for hard material. Now I'm looking at getting a small one for the truck. What's a good budget-friendly rotary hammer model you guys have had luck with?
