Heard that. Had a similar shift after working from a hostel in Lisbon for a week, the whole vibe changed my view on shared spaces too.

Man, that's exactly how it went for me. I was dead set against coworking spaces until I ended up renting a desk at this grungy one in Medellin. Now I swear by them, even though I still spill coffee on my keyboard twice a week. @kellyr18 hit it on the head though, a hostel vibe can totally flip how you see shared spots. Guess I'm just a sucker for a good table and free wifi. Only took me about fifteen rusty ceiling fans to figure it out.
