Drafting under pressure: Is rushing worth the risk of errors?
I just finished a job where tight deadlines forced us to skip detailed checks on our CAD models. Some folks say speeding through drafts is fine if it meets client schedules, like when we did a quick site plan that got approved fast. But others argue taking time for full reviews saves hassle later, like my last project where extra hours on piping layouts avoided costly field changes. I've seen rushed work lead to rework that eats up more time than if we'd been patient from the start. Yet, in busy shops, slow drafting can mean lost jobs. Where do you stand on trading speed for accuracy in our line of work?

Factor in rework time when rushing drafts. I've seen projects derailed by errors that took weeks to fix. Honest schedules prevent more headaches than they cause.

Rework happens even without rushing sometimes.

Yeah, and honest schedules also stop people from cutting corners on the boring stuff like testing. That's where the real time bombs hide.
