That AI-composed song on the radio has me split

AI writing melodies for radio songs is blowing my mind. Umaf20 mentioned it speeding up boring parts, but this is different. When machines handle the core tune, what's left for the artist? It seems like chart hits could become soulless if we let AI take over. I'm not against tools, but this feels like a step too far.

Unpopular opinion: I don't get the hype around fermented foods in fine dining.

My last kimchi experiment tasted like feet because I forgot it in the back of the fridge for a month. Pretty sure I'm the one hiding questionable stuff with fermentation, not the chefs.

All the old hands say to charge the pipe slowly, but I rushed it and my gather fell right off...

What a lot of people miss is that rushing isn't just about time, it's about heat control. When you charge fast, the outside heats up way quicker than the inside. That creates stress points, and your gather can't handle it. It's like trying to bake a cake on high heat, the outside burns before the inside cooks. So the old hands are right, but they might not explain the why. It's basic physics, but easy to forget when you're in a hurry.

Tbh, my daughter almost got hurt copying a repair she saw me do. Supervise closely.

Notice this happens with adults too, like when someone uses a power tool or drives a car the same way they saw a pro do it, but they skip all the quiet checks that keep things safe. Honestly it shows how people copy the surface stuff, the visible moves, but miss the whole hidden layer of why you do certain things first. Tbh that gap between seeing an action and knowing the reason is where most mistakes happen. It's a basic human thing, we mimic the result without getting the process that makes the result safe.
