Tried a new 8 inch cutter head on the old dredge in Mobile Bay versus the standard 6 inch, the difference in material moved was huge.

That 2 inch jump is a perfect example. See it with tools all the time. My neighbor swapped his 1/2 inch impact driver for a 3/4 inch. Bolts that used to fight him just zip off now. It's not just a little more power. It's a whole different level of work getting done. The right size tool changes everything.

Sounds good until you have to pay for it. Bigger gear means bigger fuel bills, bigger repair costs, and a whole new set of headaches. That extra material moved comes straight out of your pocket before it ever goes into the bank. Sometimes the standard tool is the right tool because it keeps the job in the black.
