Finally stopped using mesh tape on inside corners

Switched to paper tape for inside corners after 22 years in the trade because a foreman in Denver showed me how much faster it sets without the air bubbles. Has anyone else found paper tape works better for certain joints?

Did you find the paper tape holds up better over time with temperature changes in those corners too?

I used the 3M paper tape in my sunroom corners and it's been holding strong for about 8 months now through a couple of freeze-thaw cycles. I made sure to really press it into the corner with a putty knife to get good adhesion. The plaster has a little hairline crack in one spot but the tape itself hasn't peeled up at all.
