Spent 4 hours on a single ceiling patch last Tuesday in Phoenix

Kept fighting with the paper tape bubbling up on me no matter what I did with the mud. Anyone else have hot weather screw with your drying times that bad?

Oh man, Phoenix heat is brutal for drywall work. The compound dries out way too fast and starts pulling away before the tape can even set. I had the same problem last summer and finally switched to using a mix of hot mud with a little bit of retarder to buy myself some extra working time.

Man that sounds rough. Drywall in that heat is a total nightmare, isn't it?
