That time I forgot to stagger my joints on a 12 foot wall
I was finishing up a bedroom in a new build outside Dallas and the foreman walked in, took one look at my seam alignment, and made me rip out 4 boards before lunch.

Did you at least get to keep the scrap pieces for firewood?

Oh man, I wish! The pieces were too small and warped to be much use - probably would've smoked out the whole neighborhood if I tried burning them (which honestly might've been better than my failed shelf, ha).
