Am I the only one who fixes flickering laptop screens with a piece of foil?
Had a 2018 Dell with a loose LCD cable connector. Instead of ordering a whole new cable assembly, I cut a tiny strip of kitchen foil and folded it behind the connector to add pressure. Screen's been solid for 4 months now. Anyone else got a weird connector fix that actually holds up?

That foil trick reminds me of the time I fixed a wobbly table leg with a stack of old playing cards. Sometimes the janky fix outlasts the thing it was supposed to be temporary for. What's the weirdest thing you've used as a permanent part of a repair?
