Bought a cheap multimeter from Harbor Freight and it cost me 3 hours of my life
I picked up one of those $5 multimeters on a whim because I needed to check some voltages quick. It kept giving me readings that were all over the place, like 12 volts when I knew it should be 5. After chasing a ghost issue for 3 hours on a power supply board, I grabbed my buddy's Fluke and found the problem right away. That cheap meter was just lying to me the whole time. Anyone else gotten burned by a bargain bin tool like that?
