Warning: My old way of backing up photos was a total mess
For years I just dumped all my pictures onto a single hard drive and called it a day. Last month that drive failed and I lost about 200 photos from a trip to Seattle. My new system uses a free cloud backup service plus a second physical drive I update every Sunday. The difference is having two separate copies in two different places, so one failure can't wipe everything. It's a simple change but it saved me from a real headache. What's your backup plan for personal stuff like photos?

It's funny how we all do that with different things. My mom still writes passwords on sticky notes stuck to her monitor. I used to keep all my recipes on one phone until it fell in the sink. We put all our trust in one single point of failure until it breaks. Your backup plan is smart because it forces you to have a system, not just hope nothing goes wrong.

Yeah, that's the whole problem. We're all just one spilled coffee away from total chaos.
