Rant: My new HVLP sprayer just ruined a $500 oak table top

I was finishing a custom piece for a client in Phoenix last week, using a brand new turbine unit for the first time. The finish came out with a crazy orange peel texture, like I was spraying mud, and now I have to strip the whole thing back to bare wood. Has anyone else had this happen with a fresh out of the box HVLP setup, and what was the fix?
