Hot take: My Tuesday shift felt like a day from a different timeline
Everything went wrong in a way that just didn't add up. We got called to a small kitchen fire on Elm Street, but when we arrived, the homeowner, a guy named Carl, swore he never called. His stove was cold, no smoke. Then our dispatch confirmed the call came from his exact address. Has anyone else had a day where reality just seemed to glitch out for a few hours?

Nah, that just sounds like a normal dispatch mix-up. The address system probably pulled up the wrong Carl on Elm Street. Happens more than you'd think. I've rolled up to empty lots because the GPS glitched. Sometimes the call was for a place three blocks over with a similar sounding name. It's frustrating, but it's just tech being dumb, not reality breaking.

Okay, you just convinced me. I always jumped to the weirdest explanation first. But yeah, a simple tech screw-up makes way more sense.

Totally get that feeling. Davis.ivan is right about tech just failing hard sometimes. I once spent twenty minutes looking for a car crash that dispatch swore was at my own home address.
