On the James River project, I did the same thing with the flow meter. Cost us a full day because I swore it was reading right. Now I double-check everything like my life depends on it.

Actually, that sounds like the meter was just super slow, not glitched. Those old ones can take a full minute to update sometimes. I've stood there like an idiot waiting for it too.
