Heard a tech at the dealership say they're seeing more aluminum corrosion on hoods from road salt
He mentioned it's a real issue on some 2018-2020 F-150s. Anyone have a good process for treating that before it spreads under the paint?

Aluminum can totally get messed up by salt, @thea_chen. It doesn't rust like steel but it gets that white crusty stuff. Salt makes it happen way faster.

Hold on, is that right? I thought aluminum was supposed to be pretty tough against that stuff. I've seen those white powdery spots on old aluminum trailer parts and it always looked like salt damage to me, not just age.
