My old air file sander gave up the ghost on a quarter panel job last Thursday.
I was blocking out a repair on a 2015 F-150, about two hours in, and it just started making a nasty grinding noise and quit pulling air. Took it apart and the rotor vanes were completely shot, looked like they'd been crumbling for a while. Had to run down to the local tool shop and grab a new one to finish the job, which set me back about $350. Anyone have a brand of air file that's held up for more than a few years of steady use?

Classic case of the tool waiting for the worst possible moment to die. At least it had the decency to do it on a Thursday and not a Friday, I guess.

My buddy's pressure washer quit right as he started cleaning his deck before a big party. The motor made this sad whining noise and just gave up. He had to rent one from the hardware store for twice what it would've cost to just buy a new hose. At least it died early so he could fix the problem, instead of leaving him stranded mid-clean.
