Warning: That $800 paint booth filter system upgrade was a total waste
My boss at the shop in Tacoma insisted we needed the new 'ProFlow' filters to cut down on overspray dust. It took three days to install and the airflow is actually worse now, leaves orange peel on every panel. Anyone else get burned by a big equipment change that sounded good on paper?

Nah, you gotta look at the bigger picture. @brookep27 I bet that filter system works great in a controlled test lab, but real shops have dust and humidity all over. It's on you guys for not checking the specs against your actual setup before dropping that cash.

My buddy's shop had the same "upgrade" disaster.

Was it one of those new payment systems they pushed out last month? I read a whole thread about how the update basically bricked the cash registers for a bunch of small stores. The company's support line was just an endless hold, and they had to turn customers away. It sounded like a complete mess that could have been avoided with a slower rollout. Makes you wonder if they even test this stuff on real businesses before sending it out.
