Fell for that $200 clipper sharpening scam last month
Sent my Kemeis into a mail-in sharpening place and got back blades that chip on dry hair after two cuts. Anyone else deal with a sharpening service that ruined their stuff?

Nobody does" - that's why you gotta ask around the grooming forums first. I've used a guy out of Ohio for six years now and my blades cut like new every time, just takes some homework on your end.

miles798 That's the thing, nobody does. Same with those flashlight battery rewrap services or the mailbox key copy places that charge $20 and give you a key that snaps off in the lock. People just assume if someone offers a service, they know what they're doing. Took my favorite kitchen shears to a local sharpener once, they came back with a wavy edge that catches on everything. Now I just buy new clippers every couple years and call it a day. Less headache, and at least I know what I'm getting.
