TIL the hard way about using a 3/4 inch dado stack versus a router for drawer boxes.

I was building a set of 12 drawers for a built-in unit last month. I started with my router and jig, which took me about 45 minutes per drawer for the joinery. Halfway through, I switched to a dado stack on my table saw with a simple crosscut sled. That cut the time down to under 15 minutes per drawer, and the fit was just as tight. The dado was way faster for repetitive cuts. Anyone have a favorite method for production drawer work?

Ever try a box joint jig on the table saw?

Wait, you're doing box joints on a TABLE saw? That sounds like a straight up nightmare. I tried a simple finger joint jig once and nearly lost a thumb trying to hold the tiny pieces. How do you even keep the wood from kicking back on those thin cuts?
