I still think using a digital multimeter for every light meter check is overkill

I was in my shop in Spokane last week fixing a Pentax K1000, and the owner insisted I test the meter with my Fluke 87. The needle was off by a tiny bit, maybe 5%, but the photos came out fine. When did we stop trusting the camera's own test and start needing lab-grade tools for a simple check?

Wanted to watch a show from the 90s and got stuck in a weird streaming rights loop

I decided to finally watch 'Homicide: Life on the Street' after hearing it was great, but it's not on any major streaming service in my country. I spent about four hours checking smaller platforms, looking into VPN options, and even hunting for physical copies online. Has anyone else found a good way to watch older shows that are stuck in licensing limbo?

TIL the hard way about using a 3/4 inch dado stack versus a router for drawer boxes.

I was building a set of 12 drawers for a built-in unit last month. I started with my router and jig, which took me about 45 minutes per drawer for the joinery. Halfway through, I switched to a dado stack on my table saw with a simple crosscut sled. That cut the time down to under 15 minutes per drawer, and the fit was just as tight. The dado was way faster for repetitive cuts. Anyone have a favorite method for production drawer work?

Vent: A customer's dryer in Phoenix almost caught fire because of a clogged vent

I was on a call last Tuesday where the dryer was taking forever to dry clothes, and when I pulled the unit out, the vent hose was completely packed with lint. The homeowner said they hadn't cleaned it in over five years, and the heat buildup had already started melting the plastic hose connector. What's the most neglected part you see customers forgetting to clean?
