My uncle told me to start with Python, but a friend said C is better for basics

My uncle, a software engineer, said Python's simple syntax is best for new coders. My friend argued that learning C first teaches you how memory really works. I went with Python and built a small number guessing game in a weekend. Which language do you think is actually better for a total beginner?

Which one got you to actually build something?

Honestly, none of them. I just end up reading about projects instead of starting my own. The idea is fun but the work feels too big. What's the point if you never actually make anything?

Ngl, sometimes the reading IS the point though. You learn a ton by just seeing what other people tried and how it went wrong. Like, I spent a whole month reading about old open source projects that failed and honestly it saved me from making the exact same mistakes. Knowing why something doesn't work is just as useful as actually building something that works.
