inAppreciation post: I thought the 'ultralight' tent craze was just hype
My old rain jacket was basically a trash bag with sleeves.

inJust read that 70% of data loss is from human error, not hardware failure
Yeah, that stat lines up with what I've seen on site. We started building a basic "save to the right place" training into our onboarding for new office clients. Just a 15 minute walkthrough that shows where the server drive is versus local folders. It cut down on "lost file" tickets by a lot in my experience.

inMy mud pan cracked right down the middle on a Friday afternoon in Boise
Man, that sound you hear when a pan splits is just the worst. I had a plastic one warp on me last summer, left it in the sun too long between coats. Ended up having to use a piece of scrap drywall as a flat spot to finish mixing. What did you end up doing with the broken pieces?

inAn old-timer praised my nail driving today
Totally get that! I once spent a whole weekend trying to hang a shelf that ended up looking drunk. When my grandpa, who built his own house, finally said "not bad kid," I felt like I'd won a trophy. That tiny bit of praise from him meant more than a hundred perfect shelves done alone.

inJust dropped $80 on a fancy squirrel-proof feeder and guess what?
The struggle is real. My bird feeder has the same problem, and it's honestly impressive how determined squirrels can be. They turn into furry little contortionists for a handful of seeds. I've watched them hang upside down and just rake the food out with their claws. You might need to look into a different style of cage or add a baffle.
