inI used to think the 'wiggle test' was a solid way to check connectors
But is a few ounces of drag difference really gonna cause a failure in flight? Connectors are built to take some wear. Maybe the tool is overkill for most line maintenance.

inMy hack for learning loops was building a script to rename all my podcast files...
Read an article once that called this "project based learning" and it stuck with me. Just having a boring real world task makes the code click way faster than any tutorial. My first real loop was scraping sports scores because I was tired of checking the website. That hands on mess is where you actually learn how things work.
